BARTI to Sponsor Scheduled Caste Youth for PG Certificate Programmes in Collaboration with C-DAC Pune

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune—an autonomous institute under the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra—has announced sponsorship for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates from Maharashtra for skill development through PG Certificate Programmes (PGCP) 2026. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune.
Under this scheme, BARTI will sponsor only the course fee of eligible and successful candidates who secure admission to the PG Certificate Programmes commencing in February 2026. Candidates must take admission at the allotted training centers through the C-DAC counselling process to avail of the sponsorship.
To qualify for the sponsorship, applicants must have applied for and appeared in the C-DAC Common Admission Test (C-CAT), secured the requisite rank for counselling rounds, obtained an allocated seat in a PGCP course at any center through counselling, and applied separately for the BARTI Sponsorship Scheme.
Highlighting the importance of the initiative, BARTI officials stated that the programme focuses on modern technology, industry needs, and expanding employment opportunities. The initiative aims to make Scheduled Caste youth capable, self-reliant, and competitive by providing high-quality, industry-oriented training and guidance, thereby bringing underprivileged sections of society into the mainstream.
BARTI’s Director General, Mr. Sunil Ware (IRAS), informed that the programme is being effectively implemented under the guidance of the Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Dr. Harshdeep Kamble (IAS). He added that the initiative has been taken to promote social inclusion and motivate young men and women to acquire professional skills. Mr. Anil Karande, Head of the Skill Development Department and Deputy Collector, stated that employment and self-employment-based training programmes for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates are already underway across all 36 districts of Maharashtra.
Applications have been invited for more than 12 advanced PG Certificate Programmes at various training centers across the state. These programmes are designed to impart advanced, industry-relevant skills, significantly enhancing employment prospects and fostering economic self-reliance among youth.
The PG Certificate Programmes 2026 include courses such as Advanced Computing, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, VLSI Design, Robotics and Allied Technologies, Fintech and Blockchain Development, and Cyber Security and Forensics, among others. Each course has a duration of 1200 hours, spread over six months.

बार्टी अनुसूचित जातीच्या युवकांसाठी कौशल्य विकास प्रशिक्षण अंतर्गत सी-डॅकच्या सहकार्याने पीजी सर्टिफिकेट प्रोग्रॅम

डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर संशोधन व प्रशिक्षण संस्था (बार्टी), पुणे—सामाजिक न्याय व विशेष सहाय्य विभाग, महाराष्ट्र शासनाची स्वायत्त संस्था यांच्या वतीने महाराष्ट्रातील अनुसूचित जाती (SC) प्रवर्गातील विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी पीजी सर्टिफिकेट प्रोग्रॅम २०२६ अंतर्गत कौशल्य विकासासाठी प्रायोजकत्व जाहीर करण्यात आले आहे. हा उपक्रम सेंटर फॉर डेव्हलपमेंट ऑफ अॅडव्हान्स्ड कम्प्युटिंग (सी-डॅक), पुणे येथील अॅडव्हान्स्ड कम्प्युटिंग ट्रेनिंग स्कूल (ACTS) यांच्या सहकार्याने राबविण्यात येणार आहे.
या योजनेअंतर्गत फेब्रुवारी २०२६ पासून सुरू होणाऱ्या पीजी सर्टिफिकेट प्रोग्रॅममध्ये प्रवेश घेतलेल्या पात्र व यशस्वी उमेदवारांचे केवळ अभ्यासक्रम शुल्क बार्टीकडून प्रायोजित करण्यात येणार आहे. प्रायोजकत्वाचा लाभ घेण्यासाठी उमेदवारांनी सी-डॅकच्या समुपदेशन प्रक्रियेद्वारे नेमून दिलेल्या केंद्रावर प्रवेश घेणे बंधनकारक आहे.
या योजनेसाठी पात्र ठरण्यासाठी उमेदवारांनी सी-डॅक कॉमन अॅडमिशन टेस्ट (C-CAT) साठी अर्ज करून परीक्षा दिलेली असावी, आवश्यक गुणक्रमांक (रँक) प्राप्त केलेला असावा, समुपदेशन फेऱ्यांमधून कोणत्याही केंद्रावर पीजीसीपी अभ्यासक्रमासाठी जागा मिळवलेली असावी तसेच स्वतंत्रपणे बार्टी प्रायोजकत्व योजनेसाठी अर्ज केलेला असावा.
या उपक्रमाबाबत माहिती देताना बार्टीच्या अधिकाऱ्यांनी सांगितले की, आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञान, उद्योगांच्या गरजा आणि वाढत्या रोजगाराच्या संधी लक्षात घेऊन हा कार्यक्रम राबविण्यात येत आहे. या उपक्रमामुळे अनुसूचित जातीतील युवक-युवती सक्षम, स्वावलंबी व स्पर्धात्मक बनण्यास मदत होणार असून वंचित घटकांना मुख्य प्रवाहात आणण्याचे महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्य घडणार आहे.
बार्टीचे महासंचालक श्री. सुनील वारे (IRAS) यांनी सांगितले की, सामाजिक न्याय व विशेष सहाय्य विभागाचे प्रधान सचिव डॉ. हर्षदीप कांबळे (IAS) यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली हा कौशल्य विकास व उद्योजकता विकास कार्यक्रम प्रभावीपणे राबविला जात आहे. सामाजिक समावेशन वाढविणे व युवक-युवतींना व्यावसायिक कौशल्ये आत्मसात करण्यासाठी प्रेरित करणे हा या उपक्रमाचा मुख्य उद्देश असल्याचे त्यांनी नमूद केले. कौशल्य विकास विभागाचे प्रमुख व उपजिल्हाधिकारी श्री. अनिल कारंडे यांनी राज्यातील सर्व ३६ जिल्ह्यांमध्ये अनुसूचित जातीच्या उमेदवारांसाठी रोजगार व स्वयंरोजगाराभिमुख प्रशिक्षण प्रक्रिया सुरू असल्याचे स्पष्ट केले.
या प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमांतर्गत महाराष्ट्रातील विविध प्रशिक्षण केंद्रांमध्ये एकूण १२ हून अधिक पीजी सर्टिफिकेट अभ्यासक्रमांसाठी अर्ज मागविण्यात आले आहेत. उद्योगाभिमुख व प्रगत कौशल्ये देणाऱ्या या अभ्यासक्रमांमुळे युवक-युवतींच्या रोजगाराच्या संधी वाढून आर्थिक स्वावलंबनाला चालना मिळणार आहे.
पीजी सर्टिफिकेट प्रोग्रॅम २०२६ मध्ये अॅडव्हान्स्ड कम्प्युटिंग, बिग डेटा अॅनालिटिक्स, एम्बेडेड सिस्टिम्स डिझाइन, आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजन्स, व्हीएलएसआय डिझाइन, रोबोटिक्स अँड अलाइड टेक्नॉलॉजीज, फिनटेक व ब्लॉकचेन डेव्हलपमेंट तसेच सायबर सिक्युरिटी व फॉरेन्सिक्स आदी अभ्यासक्रमांचा समावेश आहे. प्रत्येक अभ्यासक्रमाचा कालावधी १२०० तासांचा म्हणजेच ६ महिन्यांचा आहे.
